Through October 21, Pennsylvania motorists can help shape the future of state transportation by participating in an online survey conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). The survey is designed to collect valuable feedback on the department’s construction and maintenance services across the Commonwealth.
The 22-question survey invites participants to share their impressions on several topics — including how they receive PennDOT roadway information, how often the department meets or exceeds public expectations, and experiences with reporting roadway concerns. Drivers are also asked to comment on their use of 511PA, the state’s real-time traveler information service that offers traffic updates, construction alerts, and incident reports.
PennDOT plays a major role in maintaining Pennsylvania’s transportation infrastructure, directly managing nearly 40,000 miles of highway and more than 25,400 bridges statewide. For residents interested in learning more about recent projects and how transportation funds have been allocated, the department’s 2024 Annual Report provides a detailed summary of ongoing efforts and investments.
Community feedback helps PennDOT prioritize improvements, enhance communication, and ensure that transportation services meet the needs of drivers, commuters, and travelers across Pennsylvania.
