New Music: Mammoth WVH – Mammoth II released August 4th

Mammoth WVH, the musical project led by Wolfgang Van Halen, is set to release its sophomore album titled “Mammoth II” on August 4th via the band’s new label, BMG. This comes after a highly successful debut that included a GRAMMY® Award nomination for his first single, #1 chart debuts, television performances, and sold-out shows over a two-year period.

Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of iconic guitarist Eddie Van Halen, continues the tradition of writing all the songs and performing all the instrumentation and vocals himself. With “Mammoth II,” he aimed to challenge himself and expand his sound beyond what people had already come to know him for. The album consists of 10 tracks that showcase Wolfgang’s growth as a songwriter, musician, and especially as vocalist.

The album kicks off with the rocking opener “Right?” and concludes with the Beatles-esque fade on the closing track “Better Than You.” Each song on the album, including “Like A Pastime,” “Take A Bow,” and “Waiting,” offers a unique sonic experience while still staying true to the essence of Wolfgang Van Halen’s vision for Mammoth WVH.

The debut single from “Mammoth II” is the upbeat rocker titled “Another Celebration At The End Of The World.” The song has an energetic vibe and showcases some exciting guitar moments. Wolfgang said he pushed himself vocally on this track and is excited to perform it live. The music video for the single introduces the Mammoth WVH live band, featuring Frank Sidoris (guitars), Jon Jourdan (guitars), Ronnie Ficarro (Bass), and Garrett Whitlock (drums).

Wolfgang Van Halen shared his enthusiasm for the new album, explaining that he wanted it to retain some elements of the debut and explore new territory. “Another Celebration At The End Of The World” embodies the new album’s direction and promises to be a high-energy addition to their live set.

Fans can expect a diverse and dynamic experience with “Mammoth II,” and it seems like Wolfgang is determined to make his mark as an artist in his own right while still paying homage to his musical roots.
